I got a new perspective today as I realized that the next three weeks are my last precious days before mommyhood begins. Rather than rushing this little girl along, I should enjoy her last bit of time in the womb and take advantage of this time before her birth.
During a rough time at work a couple of years ago, my friend and I used to play the "Thankfulness Game" to remember to be thankful for all the ways we are so blessed. So here are the things I am thankful for today...
Sleeping in, Spending long and uninterrupted time with the Lord, Creating heart shaped brownies with a cookie cutter, Cravings of chicken salad, Taking a walk with my husband, Jumping in the car to go to the library with no car seat in tow, and Feelings of little baby moving around in my tummy as she reminds me of her upcoming arrival.
When Anna Kate decides on her birthday, it will be such a fun event. Until then, I am happy and content enjoying my days and being thankful.

Suzanne - Layne sent me your blog and I really enjoyed all your hilarious comments about your coming motherhood! Enjoy the peace now and shopping does help!! I loved the picture at the end too - cute quilt! Ha! Anyway-you look so cute with that big tummy and I bet you look even cuter in your "new" clothes. Can't wait to see the "real" Anna Kate pics soon - Joyce
Way to bring back the thankfulness game. I'm thankful that now when we play it, it's not because we are sitting in an audit room or in training : )
