Home Sweet Home

Though you would never know it from our outdated blog updates, we have been home now for almost a month! Our journey home from Peru consisted of four flights which all were delayed due to plane trouble and weather. So around 2am, we rolled into Austin, weary of traveling, but thankful to be home.

We returned to Waco and hit the ground running with staff training, San Diego team training, and doctor's appointments. I passed my glucose test with an A plus (so the doctor says) and Anna Kate is just the right size for her age. After an ultrasound, the doctor determined I am not at risk for preterm labor even though I have been having lots of Braxton-Hicks (practice) contractions. It seems like we are right on track for her on time delivery at the end of October.

I spent a couple of days in Austin with my parents as Jonathan was traveling elsewhere, then we headed to Houston for my sister's wedding. It was so fun to see my relatives from Alabama and celebrate with them. Lauren and Bart's wedding went beautifully and we sent them off to their honeymoon in St. Thomas. We returned to Waco for two days and took off again for a two week trip through the Panhandle.

During this month, we are seeking people to partner with us as we move to San Diego. So in our travels, we are setting up meetings to tell people more about the next season of our lives. And tomorrow, we will have our first baby shower...in Canyon. We look forward to celebrating Anna Kate with our good friends and family here!
