Waving bye-bye

Anna Kate is a big one on hand gestures. From baby signs to song motions, she really enjoys using those hands. So her new favorite is waving bye. While this typically would be reserved for saying good-bye to people, she has extended it to everything in sight. After bathtime, we wave bye-bye to the bathtub. The other night after dinner she waved bye to the food left on her tray. And then today as I was putting her down for nap, I turned around for one last glance before I shut the door and she was waving bye-bye to me. So cute! You cannot help but smile at those little moments!

Week in Dallas

We just returned from spending a week in Dallas for Jonathan's sister's wedding. We got to see so many friends and family while enjoying the Texas sun and Tex-Mex food...nothing like some real queso.



Who can resist this face? Anna Kate was thrilled to see all of her grandparents as well as all of her aunts and uncles. She adjusted quickly to being in a new place and definitely loved all the attention!



This girl was made to shop! While Jonathan and I attended many of the wedding events, Anna Kate stayed with GranJan and Grandpa along with Uncle Bart and Aunt Lauren. She definitely had a blast with them!



Swimming in the pool, reading books, and a trip to the North Park Mall...so much fun!



Daddy performed the wedding and Anna Kate was the flower girl...with Mommy's help down the aisle.
