Trip to Disneyland

Last week we celebrated Jonathan's and my two year anniversary and Anna Kate's 6 month birthday! So we took a trip up the coast to Disneyland. We watched the shows, rode some rides, took a train ride, even stayed for the fireworks show. It was such a fun family trip!

Sitting Up!

Anna Kate is getting better at sitting up. Now if she starts to wobble, she will self correct to stay sitting. But it is nice to know that Mommy's hand is only inches away, if the wobble grows.

Our Little Roller

Anna Kate is rolling over! She did it once for Jonathan yesterday and once for me this morning. Anna Kate starts on her tummy, pushes up on her arms, lifts her head, and that heavy little head just carries her over. Today she was trying to look at the ceiling fan (she loves it!) and it just pulled her right over to her back. What a fun new activity!

Mommy's Helper

When Anna Kate gets tired of watching me make dinner in the kitchen, I set her down with a video on the laptop. She loves it! She watches Praise Baby DVDs...like Baby Einstein but with worship music. I am so thankful for another entertainer while I am cooking.

Easter Fun...a little late.

Anna Kate loved her Easter basket, Easter bunnies, and fun new books. She also donned her Easter bonnet for the photo shoot. Actually, it is a sun hat but it will do!

We gave Anna Kate some sweet potatoes last week and she gobbled them right up!

Anna's Room Remodel

On Monday afternoon, we took a trip to Home Depot and Anna's room remodel began. After we moved, we never really finished decorating her room but just started living our California life. Since we had a busy March, it seems April was the perfect time to work on our nursery. We started by painting three walls a pale pink and the other wall a cream color. During my painting of the cream wall, I got ambitious and started touching up the door frame and door. Only after it dried did I realize it was not the same as the original door and frame color...oops! Next we spray painted some shelves brown and got some letters that spell out Anna Kate and spray painted those too. Three days later, we are still in the midst of the remodel but the paint is dry and the furniture is halfway moved back into place. We will post pictures once we have made the finishing touches.
