Our Sweet Family
We love our family! I am so thankful for all that God has given us, especially His son. Happy Easter!

Pynes' Trip to Cali
We enjoyed having GranJan, Grandpa, Catherine, and Great Granny out to California during Spring Break. They played with Anna Kate, went to Coronado Island, visited La Jolla, and soaked up some sun. We had so much fun with them here!
Anna's Big Week
Anna has had quite a week! She loves playing on her ExerSaucer and spinning the wheel, looking in the mirror, and hitting the little animals.

Then her friend Abby came for a visit from Texas along with Abby's parents JT and Sarah.

Abby and Anna enjoyed meeting each other and playing together. Later, we had a visit from Anna's grandparents, Ab and Nana and her Aunt Chichi.

We all took a trip to the beach and soaked up a little sun and a picnic from In and Out Burger. We introduced Anna to her first taste of rice cereal on Thursday night.
Open up, Anna!
What is this?
I don't think so.
Get me out of here. So we are trying again each day, in hopes that she will eventually take to it. What a week!

Teething Time
Yes, we are teething. I say we because Anna Kate is not the only one involved in this process. She may be the one producing the actual teeth, but Jonathan and I are the ones walking the journey with her every day...and night. One morning she woke up more fussy than normal and after ruling out our normal agitators, we realized it was teething time. She has several pearly whites that are almost poking through, but in their journey upwards, are driving our poor baby crazy. Her days are fussy and her nights are very wakeful. Therefore, our days are tough and nights are tougher. We have tried some well known remedies, but Anna Kate dislikes the teething ring and prefers to suck on pieces of ice. These days, I would try almost anything to give her some relief. Pray for us as we surmount the challenges of teething and that those teeth would hurry up and come through!

Happy 4 Months!
Anna Kate just turned 4 months old! At her check-up, they confirmed what we already knew...we have a big, healthy girl on our hands. She is a queen of drool and drenches most shirts within an hour. She has started teething and has one tooth on the bottom right that seems to be working its way up. She still looks so much like Jonathan and displays her sweetest smile whenever he comes in sight...what a Daddy's girl. Anna Kate loves being outside whether at the beach or at the park. She is enjoying her new ExerSaucer toy and her high chair. When playtime is over, she likes to relax on Mommy's lap watching her Praise Baby DVD. Anna Kate is looking forward to many visitors coming in March to see her including both sets of grandparents, 2 aunts, and her great grandmother. Maybe she will perfect a roll over just in time for their arrival!
