Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent a wonderful Thanksgiving with Jonathan's parents and sister and brother in law! What a treat to spend our first holiday ever in San Diego. We were so glad to not have to travel cross country with three kids. The girls loved spending time with their cousin Jack. Jon David turned 7 weeks and celebrated by sleeping longer at night...Mommy is very thankful!

Chocolate Covered Marshmallows

Today after rest time, Anna told me she wanted to make marshmallow cookies. I looked at a couple recipes and determined I did not have the energy or ingredients to do most of these. So instead, we melted chocolate chips and made chocolate covered marshmallows. Yummy! Anything with chocolate and sprinkles is sure to be a hit in our house!

Preparing for Thanksgiving!

Jon David is quickly being introduced to the world of having two older sisters. This morning Anna found her baby's hairbrush and went to work on her little brother's spiky hair. This is only the beginning of his initiation into our family, I'm sure.

This is Anna's idea of shopping. She can find the toy aisle in any store in 10 seconds flat...always with Jenna just a couple of steps behind.

This year since we are spending more time at home with three kids, I am trying to do more craft projects to prepare the girls for Thanksgiving! Last week Anna and I put together a foam 3D harvest project. Super cute for a self-proclaimed non-crafter (me).

This morning we tackled a thankful tree and paper chain counting down to Thanksgiving Day. The girls loved it! Now on to nap time and convincing them to take off the swimsuits they are wearing on top of their pajamas. Life is fun around here!

Still here!

Yes, we're still here! And we added our third child...this time a little boy. Born just after midnight on October 6, Jon David is such a joy to our family. We look forward to being back in the blog world after such a long absence!

My sweet girls

After a brief stint in the cold weather of Colorado, we were happy to return to sunny San Diego! It has actually been very warm here and we have enjoyed plenty of picnic lunches and playing outside. Jenna Grace is a full-on walker now and toddles around the backyard chasing after her "ba" or ball. Anna Kate loves our little slide and climbs to the top of anything she can find. She also loves playing train where we line up the outdoor chairs and pretend to go to Yogurtland and the park. Both girls love anytime Mommy takes them out for a treat!

Sister Weekend

My sisters and I met up in Denver last weekend for a time of lots of food, fun, and a little bit of snow! We had such a great time exploring the city and then hiding out indoors with movies and TV together. It was very cold for a California girl like me!
